Dalai Lama Calls Nehru 'Selfish', Now Apologises For Controversial Comment

Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama has apologized for his controversial comments on the former Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru. Some days back, Dalai Lama said Mahatma Gandhi was willing to give Muhammad Ali Jinnah the Indian prime minister's post, but that Jawaharlal Nehru refused. The Spiritual leader has alleged that the self-centered nature of Nehru had led to the partition of India and Pakistan. However, following the criticism, Dalai Lama said he wants to apologise if his statements were wrong on Nehru and Jinnah.
