Government schools in remote areas in Telangana districts have no prinicpals or staff members. In most of them, the students themselves become teachers and make the rest learn. Despite tall promises of offering quality education, on par with government schools, the state government is finding it tough to even appoint enough staff, leave alone providing all facilities. As such most schools in tribal areas do not function at all. Even the teachers and Vidya volunteers who are appointed to these schools, get transferred to other places as they are situated in villages that lack basic amenities like roads.
