An air of suspicion gripped Bengaluru's Bowring Institute club, where cash worth crores of rupees, gold ornaments and property documents of Rs 100 crore value were recovered from lockers. The lockers belong to a member named Avinash Amarlal, who did not turn up, despite several reminders. The club authorities, who had earlier opened the lockers, reported the matter to IT officials. They issued notices to Avinash. It is learnt that he had earned the amounts through money lending, by confiscating land documents of the borrowers.
