A sunken Russian warship believed to contain $130 billion in gold has been found off the coast of South Korea—more than a century after it was scuttled during the Russo-Japanese war. A team of explorers found the wreck of the Dmitrii Donskoi on July 15, 2018. The group used two submersibles to capture footage of the vessel which now rests 1,400 feet below sea level. The 5,800-tonne ironclad cruiser was badly damaged during the war in 1905. The vessel was reportedly carrying 5,500 boxes of gold bars and 200 tonnes of gold coins.
