Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu came down heavily on BJP for trying to vanish regional parties by holding simultaneous elections to the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies. He said the saffron party doesn’t want regional parties to survive in the democratic country. The Minister stated simultaneous elections were held in 1951 after India became independent. He further said that the Modi government had introduced the GST to suppress states financially. Ramakrishnudu made it clear that the TDP is against holding simultaneous elections.
