Hyd. zoo troubles: 3 wild animals die within 3 months - Tv5
The death of three wild beasts in Hyderabad's famous, Nehru Zoological Park, in the past three months is troubling the authorities regarding the conditions in the Park. The three wild animals that died are an elephant, Jamuna, a lion, and a panther, Deepa. Meanwhile, Assistant Curator of the Zoo, Jnaneswar said that the main reason for the deaths is because these animals were all living beyond their average age limits. For example, a panther survives for around 16 years in normal conditions. But Deepa was 22 years when it died. The age factor makes it difficult for the animals to respond to treatment, Jnaneswar said.
