At least six members of the family of Karnataka Chief Minister (CM), Kumaraswamy are mentioned in the tax defaulter's list of the Benguluru Muncipal Corporation (BMC). His three sisters, sister-in-law and a brother are among the defaulters. They all together owe some Rs. 3.71 crore to BMC towards property tax. Kumaraswamy however denied this. He called it a mischevious and misleading information. All his family members are regular remiters of taxes, he said. BMC is administered by the Congress, JDS coalition.
