The Trump government wants to cancel the right to work for spouses of H-1B visa holders in the United States. As a result, 1 lakh Indian women will be losing jobs. A research by students of University of Tennessee and Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick over changes in immigration policy has revealed that it will create financial tension in families leading to strain in relations. The vast majority of companies hiring Indians are of the view the implication on banning the spouses of H-1B visa holders from work will hurt the visa holders.
