Karnataka shopkeepers get jumbo-sized guests

Fri, Jun 29, 2018, 02:52 PM
Shop owners near Bannerghatta National Park in Karnataka had some unusual visitors. These safari elephants were released from the park zoo for grazing in the wild at night. The elephants walked away with coconuts, bananas and other food items from the shop. They were chased by the shopkeepers down the road. On elephant lifted its trunk and plucked off a huge branch of a tree alongside the road. The shopkeepers said that every Thursday the same story repeats as the elephants are released for grazing in the wild.
