There is a phenomenal rise in the applications for membership in Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), after the visit of former president, Pranab Mukherjee's visit to the organisation's event at Nagpur, according to RSS representative, Viplav Rao. While earlier they received some 300 applications in a day, now they are getting over 1,200 applications, he said. At least 40 per cent of these are from Pranab's own West Bengal state, he added. The hard work of the RSS activists in the society is the main reason for people to be attracted to it, he said.
