K'nataka police crack down on youth cutting cakes with talwars

Many youths, including history sheeters, were noticed celebrating their birthdays by cutting cakes with talwars, in Hubballi-Dharwad areas in Karnataka. Video clips of these events are being shared on Social Media.The first incident was reported at Ganeshpet in which a fish vendor, identified as Irshad, celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake with a long, lethal weapon. However, Karnataka police cracked down on youths cutting cakes with talwars. It is illegal to have a talwar in one's possession, the police officials said. They have not arrested anyone yet but will keep a watch.
