5.3 earthquake hits Osaka, Japan halts trains

A massive earthquake rocked Osaka in Western Japan, this morning. The earthquake that occurred at 15.4 k.m. below the surface of the earth, was recorded as 5.3 on Richter scale. American Geological Survey said that the earthquake is not severe enough to cause a Tsunami. Japan Prime Minister (PM), Shinzo Abe, said that the government is alert and involved in rescue operations. Bullet trains were halted as a precautionary measure. Officials said that there were no causalities and intensified rescue operations.
