IAS lobby opposes PM's initiative to reform bureaucracy: Report - News X

At a key meeting of government think-tank Niti Aayog on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invoked 'team India' while acknowledging that 'the governing council has approached complex issues of governance'. While the opposition chose to lash out at Prime Minister Modi said that states received Rs 11 lakh crore compared to Rs 5 lakh crore given in the last year of the previous govt and hoped for better cooperation. According to reports, Niti Aayog has advised Narendra Modi to reform the functioning of the bureaucracy. But, the IAS lobby is against the move.
