It is generally a known fact that two national parties BJP and Congress get 50% of votes and seats collectively in the General Election. According to the reports, the said statistics has been true since 1991. The other small and regional parties get the remaining 50% of votes and seats. Reports said that the small and other regional parties are not totally against the two major national parties. According to the political need, these parties join the major parties as part of the pre or post alliance.
