Tossing of coin to stay in test cricket
There was a lot of talk about discontinuing coin toss in Test cricket, where the winning team decides what it wants to do first -- bat or bowl. But it seems the good old tradition will remain the fundamental starting point of a Test match, as Anil Kumble-led Cricket Committee of International Cricket Council (ICC) decided against abolishing the coin toss. Instead the committee made a slew of recommendations with regard to poor player behavior. The committee also recommended countries to prepare pitches that provide a fair contest between bat and ball.
