Union Minister of State for Health, Ashwini Choubey said that four states have been put on high alert regarding spread of dangerous Nipah virus that has claimed 12 lives in Kerala. He tweeted that Government of India is keeping a close watch on the situation. A team of doctors has been sent to Kerala to contain further spread of the virus. "It is localised and not an epidemic, all kinds of precautions are being taken. People should not panic," he said.
