SC rejects 'fake Hindu Party' plea against K'nataka govt.

Tue, May 22, 2018, 01:24 PM
Supreme Court (SC) has rejected an 'urgent' hearing petition filed by one Hindu Mahasabha against the Congress-JD(S) alliance, ahead of the swearing-in ceremony that is scheduled for tomorrow evening. The hearing was supposed to happen at 2 p.m., when one of the lawyers from All-India Hindu Mahasabha opposed the petition, saying that Hindu Mahasabha was a false political party. The petition said that the Congress-JDS alliance was 'unholy' and wanted an urgent hearing. However, it was dismissed even before it could be heard, as there is no political party by that name.
