BS Yeddyurappa was sworn-in as 23rd Chief Minister of Karnataka. Governor Vajubhai Vala has administered an oath of office to Yeddyurappa. It is the third time that Yeddyurappa became Chief Minister of Karnataka. He served as Chief Minister in 2007 for a brief period and for 3 years from 2008. However, the Supreme Court allowed Yeddyurappa to be sworn-in as Chief Minister with some conditions while respecting the powers of Governor. Yeddyurappa was asked to submit the letter to the Apex Court given to the Governor expressing the confidence of proving majority.
