Janata Dal (Secular) JDS leader and former chief minister, H.D.Kumaraswamy charged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of horse trading. "It is a Rs. 100 cr. deal, to buy my MLAs and I will not allow it," said Kumaraswamy. He said that BJP tried to contact him but he did not let down his father. Earlier, Kumaraswamy met his newly-elected MLAs at a private hotel, along with his father and party chief, Deve Gowda. They elected a party floor leader for the next Assembly. The JDS legislators said that some of them got calls from the BJP but they refused to jump ship.
