Karnataka : BJP retains most of its bastions

Tue, May 15, 2018, 12:10 PM
Gradually some picture of Karnataka poll scene is emerging, even as counting is on for the 222 Assembly seats for which elections were held on May 12. Though Congress bagged some quick early leads, it is lagging behind now from its nearest rival, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by at least 31 seats. The JDS on the other hand has managed to keep intact its projection as a kingmaker, which looks quiet unlikely, if the BJP is able to cross the halfway mark that is 112.
