Janata Dal (Secular), (JDS) chief, Deve Gowda spoke to the media after casting his vote, this morning, as part of the on-going polling for Karnataka Assembly. Polling began at 7 a.m. for 222 out of 224 Assembly contituencies in that state. It will continue until 6 p.m. At least 3.50 lakh security forces have been deployed for the smooth conduct of the polls. Some 2,600 candidates are contesting the polls. Counting of votes will be done on May 15th. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, Yeddyruppa too cast his vote.
