An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale rocked Pakistan and Afghanistan. The epicentre of the quake was in the Hindukush moutain range, it was detected. Meanwhile several Himalayan states in India including, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab were affected. Mild tremors were felt as far as Delhi, Gurugram and National Capital Region (NCR). Officials however ruled out any damage due to the quake. Tremors caused fear in some northern states, which are experiencing extreme weather conditions, this summer.
