A petition on the impeachment move against Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra, rejected recently by Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, will be heard by a five-judge constitution bench of the Supreme Court on Tuesday. The petitioners, Pratap Singh Bajwa and Amee Yajnik, in their plea argued that once a removal motion signed by MPs is submitted to the Rajya Sabha Chairman, he has no option but to constitute an inquiry committee to look into the charges. However, Naidu rejected the notice holding that the allegations lacked merit.
