Hyderabad East Zone police nabbed 12 members of a gang involved in betting in IPL cricket matches. They seized Rs. 15.5 lakh cash and 22 mobile phones from them. Five more are absconding. East Zone Police Commissioner, Anjani Kumar said that the gang was involved in betting through digital network. They were connected with their counterparts in Goa, Bengaluru and Mumbai. The culprits were all employed elsewhere, but were involved in betting for easy money, the Commissioner said. He urged youth not to damage their careers by resorting to such illegal activities.
