Thu, May 03, 2018, 10:45 AM
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal courted a fresh controversy by saying that the IAS officers should be paid monthly salaries based on the calories. He made these remarks while referring to a committee recommendation that labourers needed 2,700 calories per day during a meeting of the Delhi Workers Conference in Delhi on the occasion of May Day. He demanded that the Central government should fix a minimum monthly wage for labourers as Rs 13,500 as against Rs 9,500 in Delhi.
