Focus in Andhra Pradesh (AP) now is on its proposed capital city, Amaravati. It has become a topic of discussion as to what a capital city should look like and how it should be developmed. Retired as well as serving IAS official are reacting on this issue. Recently, retired chief secretary of AP, I.Y.R. Krishna Rao wrote a book, Evari Rajadhani, Amaravati? He stressed on the inclusive factor for a city, where all people should enjoy ownership. Another IAS official, Ajay Kallam too stressed on the factor that cities need not have the tag of mega, to be capitals. However, present AP Planning Commission, Deputy Chairman, Kutumba Rao said that the foundation for a capital is the most important for its growth, which is being done for Amaravati.
