Rerversations for students and for government employees has been lifted in Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheik Haseena has made an announcement to this effect, in Bangladesh Parliament. She urged the students, who had been agitating against reservations to go back to classes. The students and employees had been agitating against the existing 56 per cent reservations for all categories in education as well as government jobs. They wanted it to be reduced to 10 per cent. Action will be taken against those who had resorted to violence during the agitation, Sheik Hasina said.
