Harayana Assembly passes Bill for hanging those guilty of raping minors

Harayana Assembly today, passed a Bill that recommends hanging to death of those guilty of raping minors. Harayana is second after Madhya Pradesh, to pass the Landmark Bill that would act as a deterrent against rape. According to the Bill, those found guilty of raping girls below the age of 12 years, will be hanged to death. Chief Minister of Harayana, Manohar Lal Khattar said that they wanted to make the punishment for rape stringent, so as to protect women and young girls.
