Debate: BJP springs a surprise on TDP, seeks 2nd Andhra capital in Rayalaseema - Tv9

The political war between the two alliance parties i.e BJP and its alliance partner TDP over the alleged injustice to Andhra Pradesh in the central budget took a new turn with the BJP playing the Rayalaseema card demanding to constitute a second capital in the region and placed the Kurnool declaration in the agenda. The BJP leaders demanded to put Rs 20,000 crore towards Rayalaseema region in the budget, demanded that the number of districts in Rayalaseema region should be increased to eight from the current four i.e Kurnool, Kadapa, Anantapur and Chittoor. They also proposed temporary accommodation for the high court in Rayalaseema and asked to conduct the assembly sessions at Rayalaseema once in six months as is being done in Maharashtra and other states. BJP leader Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, TDP MLC Rajendra Prasad, CPI leader Ramakrishna have debated on these issues.
