Special Story on House Rents Hike in Vijayawada - AP24x7

Monthly rents of houses have increased abnormally in Vijayawada in the last 2 years. Middle and lower class families are finding it difficult to pay rents with a meagre income. There is heavy demand for rental houses in Ayodhya Nagar, Patamata, Benz Circle, Governorpet, Krishna Lanka, Bhavanipuram, and Satyanarayanapuram as capital city construction is still underway. Earlier, monthly rent for the double-bedroom house was Rs 10,000 and now it has increased to Rs 20,000. Residents are urging the government to take measures to control spiralling of rents.
