After a week-long agitation by Andhra Pradesh (AP) Members of Parliament (MP) in Delhi, the Centre has decided to climb down and agreed to some of the most important demands made by them. The MPs, led by minister Sujana Chowdary, met Union minsiter Arun Jaitley and discussed the issue for nearly two hours, at the end of which Jaitley agree to clear the revenue deficit to AP of the past three years and sanction railway zone at Visakhapatnam. The MPs are likely to meet the minister again today to draft the modalities.
