TET candidates stopped minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao in Kakinada while demanding postponement of TET exams for 1 month which are scheduled to commence on 5 February. TET candidates protested outside the hotel in which minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao was staying. Tension prevailed at the hotel because of the argument between police and TET candidates. Police brought the situation under control by arresting some of the candidates. Ganta Srinivasa Rao responded over the issue and said further postponement of the exams will cause further delay in DSC postings. He said he would announce his decision after discussing with officials.
