Foreign students in new Warangal district are celebrating Sankranthri at Kazipet Bala Vikas centre. They made rangoli designs and placed cow dung cakes (Gobbammalu) in them. Also, the sang Sankranthri songs in their own style and accent. Students from Canada, Bangladesh, South Africa and Nepal participated in the festivities. They said that they are enjoying the festive atmosphere. The centre organisers said that cultural events are being held to propagate Indian heritage and culture. The foreign students wore tilaks and danced around the colourful rangolis.
