A Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader, Vijay Kumar, is allegedly involved in the Guntur kidney racket that was busted by police. The case came to light after Vijay Kumar called Narsaraopet Tahsildar twice to clear the Aadhar card of his relative Venkateswar Naik for kidney transplant. The Tahsildar complained to the police, who are investigating. Meanwhile, Chinta Ramakrishna, the doctor of Vedanta Hospital, where the transplant was scheduled, is the son-in-law of Vijay Kumar. Vedanta Hospital was earlier inaugurated by minister Kamineni Srinivas.
