Trump Admin Plans to End rule that Allows Spouses of H1 B visa Holders to work in US - Etv

The administration of the US President Donald Trump is likely to revoke an Obama-era rule that had extended work authorisation to the spouses of H-1B visa holders. If the Trump administration considers this move then, it could affect 70% of Indian workers and their families. Earlier, under a rule introduced by the previous Obama administration, the spouses of H-1B, or other visa holders waiting for green cards were considered eligible to work in the US on H-4 dependent visas. The Trump administration’s plans to overhaul the H-1B programme has disturbed the Indians as the H-1B is a common visa route for foreigners and skilled Indians to find work at companies in the US for three years.
