The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is all set to introduce new Rs 100 notes after the fiscal year. According to the sources from the Central bank, RBI will start printing new designs of Rs 100 currency notes around April next year. RBI will redesign Rs 100 note as well. It is learned that the printing of these new Rs 100 notes will start as soon as the completion of printing of new Rs 200 denomination notes. Old Rs 100 will continue and will be gradually withdrawn without disrupting the existing system. The size of Rs 100 notes will remain same like earlier to avoid re-calibration of ATMs.
