Board of Cricket Club of India (BCCI) has recommended the name of former Team India cricket captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, for awarding Padma Bhushan. Dhoni completed 100 half a centuries in the recent One Day International (ODI) with Australia, at Chennai. Dhoni is the only captain who had brought credit to Indian cricket, in all the three formats. The team won two World Championships, under his captaincy. Dhoni, who hails from Jarkhand, retired from captaincy long ago. BCCI has recommended his name to the Centre for the prestigious award, in return for the services he had lent to the game.
