Amidst tight security, polling to Nandyal by-election has begun at 7 am on Wednesday. The EC deployed 8 companies of paramilitary forces and 8 companies of APSP to provide security at polling stations. The EC set up 255 polling stations in Nandyal Assembly constituency. More than 2.19 lakh voters will exercise their franchise. The Nandyal seat fell vacant with the demise of Bhuma Nagi Reddy. The main contest will be between TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy and YSRCP nominee Silpa Mohan Reddy.
