Venkaiah Naidu to take oath as Vice-President on Friday. President Ram Nath Kovind will administer an oath to Venkaiah at Parliament Central Hall in Delhi at 10 am. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of both Telugu states N Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrashekar Rao and BJP leaders will take part in oath taking ceremony. Outgoing Vice-President Hamid Ansari’s tenure has ended on Thursday. Venkaiah defeated UPA candidate Gopalkrishna Gandhi to become 13th Vice-President. He will be the second Telugu person to hold highest post after Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, who served as President.
