Farmers in Medak and Sangareddy districts are happy with the rains since last night. They said that it would benefit the crops that were sown earlier. They had sown cotton, paddy and maize in June. But because of dry spell, the saplings were drying up. However, the current rains are reviving the plants and would definitely benefit them, if they continue, they said. Fresh paddy is being sown. It has been raining heavily since last night at Sadasivapet, Zaheerabad and Andole in Sangareddy and Narsapur, Veldurti, Sivampet and Havelighanapur areas in Medak.
