A WhatsApp Plea Helped Rescue Andhra Pradesh Woman From Saudi Arabia - NDTv

A WhatsApp Plea helped to rescue Andhra Pradesh woman named Subbalakshmi from Saudi Arabia. Subbalakshmi from Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa district was reportedly rescued from virtual captivity in Saudi Arabia with the help of Telangana police after watching the WhatsApp message which she put out. She was subjected to captivity inside the bathroom of a house in Riyadh caught the attention of Warangal police. According to reports they used the phone number she put out on WhatsApp and tracked down Hyderabad and Mumbai based agents who have trafficked her. She was sold to a Sheik in Riyadh for Rs 2 lakhs says Sudhir Babu, Warangal police commander. Subbalakshmi says she went to Saudi Arabia to earn money as her family is badly in need of money as her husband underwent 3 surgeries.
