Crime Investigation Department (CID), that has conducted a thorough study of the condition of Volvo buses, that are prone to frequent mishaps, said in a report that they are dangerous for roads in both Telugu states. The battery of the bus is placed very low below and might touch the road at any time, the report said. Also there is a diesel tank, placed just beside the battery. If the battery is on fire, it can easily spread to the tank, leading to tragedies. Volvo buses have been banned in several countries. These buses have been brought to India and are in use. The CID report is however lying with a Joint Secretary in the Centre, who is said to have taken bribes and neglected action.
