The Election Commission of India has postponed by-poll to the RK Nagar Assembly constituency following several complaints of money distribution to lure voters. It released a 29-page report explaining the reasons for postponement of the by-election. The Election Commission took the decision after holding a meeting with the officials of the Tamil Nadu. In the meeting, the EC officials discussed money being caught in IT raids. The EC stated that new date for holding by-election to RK Nagar will be declared later.
