With the Supreme Court banning the selling and registration of BS-III compliant vehicles from April 1, automobile makers are desperately making attempts to clear their stocks. Heavy discounts are being offered on two-wheelers on March 30 and 31 as BS-III compliant vehicles will not be allowed to sold across the country from April 1. Honda and Hero are offering discounts up to Rs 20,000. According to industry sources, 6.7 lakh BS-III two-wheelers remain unsold. Most car makers have upgraded to BS-IV.
