Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman, Prof. Kodandaram, who was arrested by police early this morning, was released at 7 p.m., from Kamatipura police station, where he had been detained and taken to his house in Tarnaka, in Secunderabad. Kodandaram planned to organise a rally by unemployed youth and students today, but it was not permitted by police. His attempt to move the court in this regard also failed. However, he decided to organise the rally as scheduled. With this, police arrested him. After his release, he said that the government had behaved in an undemocratic manner, by refusing permission for the rally.
