Ghost fear makes Khammam villagers leave their homes

Fear of ghost has made villagers of Edulapuram in Khammam district leave their homes, to spend the day in a mango grove on the village outskirts. At least 20 people died within a span of two months, in the village, recently, scaring the people. On the advice of pundits, they have left the village to spend the day, from dawn to dusk, in the mango grove. As such, from infants to those in ripe old age were seen cooking, eating, and spending their time outside. The gathering, irrespective of caste or creed, came together, apparently, to avoid death by ghost power.
