Combined High Court (HC) today responded to a petition by Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman, Prof. Kodandaram, over his petition regarding lack of response from Hyderabad police, to his request for permission to take out a rally by unemployed youth in the city. HC directed Hyderabad Commissioner of Police (CP) to reply by 4 p.m., this evening, over the matter. Prof. Kodandaram had applied for permission some 20 days ago, but there is no response from the police even till date. HC wanted to know why the police did not say yes or no to the request. The TJAC chairman had even promised to take responsibility for any untoward incident during the rally, in his application.
