Union External Affairs Ministry has sent a formal request to the United Kingdom (UK) Commissioner in Delhi to extradite Vijay Mallya to India, to face trial. Secretary and spokesperson for Ministry of External Affairs, Vikas Swarup, made this announcement. He said that the UK High Commissioner has been sent the request. India is hoping that Vijay Mallya would be extradited so that he could face trial in the whopping Rs. 4,100 bank fraud case. Vijay Mallya had once declared himself as King of Good Times, but is no longer so, it appears.
