Three-day Brahmotsavams begin at Cheruvugattu temple in Nalgonda district. As devotees are thronging the temple, the place is echoing with Siva nama Manthram. In view of security for devotees, officials have stopped cars and vehicles coming uphill. The deity here is Parvati sameta Jadala Ramalingeswara Swamy. The Siva lingam that has been placed here is said to be 108th and the last lingam to have been set up by Parusurama. Legend has it that Parusurama performed a deep penance at this place.
