Union Budget: No new trains or rail projects to AP, TS - Tv5

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley did not announce new trains or rail projects to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in Union Budget. However, the Centre has allocated around Rs 4,000 crore to South Central Railway for completion of ongoing projects. Break-up of funds allocation was Rs 2196 crore to Andhra Pradesh and Rs 1720 crore to Telangana. SCR GM said that third track will be laid between Kazipet-Balharshah and Vijayawada-Gudur. Modernisation works will be taken up at Secunderabad and Vijayawada railway stations, the GM said.
